Our office has depended on computerized technology to determine a potential patient’s care potential for years. But we just upgraded the technology and we are very excited about this. Watch The Video & Subscribe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qx7SBEpoSA4&feature=youtu.be

We have always been able to track if you have a problem and where the problem is coming from and we have been able to track how you are progressing as you go through care until you get to a state where things are working well.

But this new technology takes this a step further.

How??? To fully understand Lets start from the beginning

Stress is the biggest cause of problems in our society today according to many health sources. There are 3 types of stress; Physical, Chemical, and Mental/Emotional. The biggest culprit of health issues right now is mental/emotional stress. Mental stress stems from how we react to current events. The same event is going to cause 2 different reactions in 2 different people and that is because each person has different experiences in their life that impact how that person perceives the event.

Our technology tracks your ability to adapt to stress in a way that we have never been able to track before. That is important because, let’s face it, you can’t get away from stress. By measuring variations in heat patterns along your spin we can pin point problem areas. Then we can effectively help your body can adapt to stress in a positive way.

We are very excited about what this can mean for tracking the health of our patients. Now if someone comes in feeling pretty good, just not what they feel is great we can actually measure what is up in their nervous system.

If you are looking for true Health Care – the kind of care that will take a healthy you and make you even better, a baseline scan is very important to get so that if you have issues in the future we have something to measure against.

Because we are so excited about this technology, we are offering a very special deal through the month of February. The scans at other offices around the country are usually priced at $200. Our office is only going to charge $100, but as an introductory price through the month of February, the price is coming all the way down to $50. Yes you read that right. Only $50. Call today to schedule your special exam and take advantage of this introductory price.

I’ve covered a lot of topics over the past few years with this newsletter, but there is one topic that has not gotten the attention that it should. It is the cornerstone of the profession of chiropractic and especially this practice. The topic is Inmate Intelligence. If you are scratching your head right now as to what that is, then Ii will take all the blame for not making this a bigger priority thus far.

Innate intelligence

Refers to the amazing ability of your body to heal itself. Think about it, even something as simple as a cut on your finger (which you have done hundreds if not thousands of times in your life by now) gets better on its own. Did you ever consider how that happens? Immediately after the cut happens, thousands of nerves send signals up to the brain. They describe exactly how long, how deep, how many layers of tissues were damaged, basically everything about the cut. In an instant, the brain processes what needs to be done and sends the information of all the things it will need for the healing process to the small intestine so it can pick those things out of the food supply.

Then the brain uses the nerves to coordinate getting these nutrients to your finger by way of the blood. Once the nutrients arrive, the brain uses the nerves to start all the chemical reactions that will be needed to get the finger repaired. And here is the really amazing thing. Even though you have cut your finger hundreds if not thousands of times by this point in your life, your fingerprint is still exactly the same as an infant. Every swirl, every detail of that print has been perfectly preserved. That is the power of innate intelligence. This healing power is working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It cures cancer that you will never know you had, it repairs spleen and liver problems that occur all the time, but that you will never have to worry about because they won’t be a problem for you. That is the magnificence of innate intelligence. It performs countless repairs that solve problems you will never know you had.

If Your Body Can….

fix something as insignificant as a fingerprint so perfectly, how is it that people get a back pain that doesn’t go away after a few days, or keep getting recurring headaches, or get to the point of having a heart attack or anything else like that? My profession believes that Innate Intelligence will fix just about anything that goes wrong, providing the nervous system is working at full potential. The nervous system is what innate intelligence uses to coordinate all the things that need to happen for the healing processes.

If you know of someone who is always sick, or someone who never seems to have the energy they should etc, send them in for a computerized exam. This can detect problems in the nervous system which could be the cause of prolonged healing or things that are found but, that noticed. A simple computerized exam is all it takes to find out if this is an issue for you. 402-333-4848

Your immune system is incredible. It is why you don’t get sick every time you step inside an elevator or pick up a pen in a public place like a bank or office. It detects any potential invaders to your body, learns how to fight and kill that one, then saves the information just in case that invader tries again. Don’t Forget we have videos! https://youtu.be/LWMb_4hAorU

Lately, we have been hearing patients talking about “a weak immune system” much more often than we ever have. The funny thing is that phrase is being used as an excuse for some people to get more immunizations but at the same time other people are using the same phrase to excuse why they are staying away from vaccines.

Is there such a thing as a weak immune system?

Think of the immune system just like any other skill set we have. It’s perfectly common to find some people who are really smart in school and others of us who are just of average intelligence. Some people can play basketball or tennis without practice way better than other people who practice multiple hours each day. We all have different potentials in sports and brains and we also have different potentials in immunity.

So do some people have a “weak immune system”? Technically yes but that is not a very big percentage of the population Those are people who were sickly as infants and are always sick throughout their life. The vast majority of the population have immune systems which have the potential to function just fine.

However…

I believe a lot of people these days have a “weakened immune system”. This implies that their immune system is not working at it’s peak potiential and can be improved.

It’s important to remember your immune system is run by your nervous system, nerves, and if your nerves are not functioning properly then it’s very likely that you need an adjustment(s). Your entire body and every function depend on your nervous system working properly.

When you get sick your nervous system signals your immune system to produce t-cells and white bloods cells. If there is a kink your nervous system the single could be delayed or misdirected.

Why would there be a kink in your nervous system?

There are 3 types of stress that effect your nervous system; Physical-injury major or minor (just because there is no blood doesn’t mean there is no damage), Mental/Emotional-loss, work pressure and peer pressure, and Chemical-make, bug spray, food, general pollution.

There is a solution for weakened or compromised immune systems. Seeing a chiropractor and getting adjusted. There are recent studies that show increases in white blood cell counts with in 15 minutes of an adjustment. {Study From National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois}. The results are real, see for yourself.

Did You Know…

The Liver is one of the most important organs in the body and it is second in size only to the skin. It performs over 500 functions for you every day. Detoxification is probably the most important function of the liver. It receives 1.5 quarts of blood every minute which is filtered to pull out alcohol, toxins from drugs, food and water! A healthy liver will transform the potentially harmful substances into harmless products which are eliminated in the bile or urine. It plays a huge role in regulating sugar (if it’s high it turns glucose into glycogen, it it’s low it turns amino acids into glucose), breaking down carbohydrates and storing nutrients absorbed from the small intestine. The liver makes different hormones, bile, albumin, cholesterol and many more. A livers work is never done.

When your liver becomes sick it can not do its jobs properly. You may experience symptoms like lethargy, depression, anxiety, improper digestion, headaches, increased weight, muscle and joint pain.

Luckily the liver is the most regenerative organ in the body so a lot of times it doesn’t take much to reverse the damage that has been done.

What You Can Do

As always start with eating healthy, plenty of dark green vegetables and berries. Other foods like avocado, lemons, garlic and turmeric are also very good for your liver.

Water is also very important for the liver and its filtration processes, you should be drinking ½ your weight is ounces every day, if you weigh 150lbs you should be drinking at least 75 ounces of water a day. Other foods like avocado, lemons, garlic and turmeric are also very good for your liver.

Avoid toxins!!!! Alcohol and smoking are the BIG culprits that you should avoid. When alcohol is broken down the resulting chemical reaction can damage its cells causing inflammation and scarring (also causes potential harm to brain and stomach lining).

Watch your medications!!! Check the side effects and drug interactions to make sure you are safe, Google the medication learn as much about it as you can, how it works and what organs is has an effect on. Medications are synthetic and toxic; everything from antidepressants, birth control and pain relievers and your liver is responsible for filtering it all. Even over the counter medications have side effects so pay close attention to all of it.

Natural Flush with all store bought products that is easy for all. Contact us for our recipe 402-333-4848

Also the herbs Milk Thistle and Dandelion are amazing for helping the liver.

It’s also very important to remember that all your organs are run by nerves. Nerves come from the spine and if there is a misalignment in the spine that will stop the nerve from functioning properly ultimately creating symptoms and malfunction in organs.

These suggestions should help you maintain a very healthy liver and may help you regenerate a liver that needs a bit of help.

8 Most Important School Supplies

Check Out The Video!!! https://youtu.be/2NrHEtV0VqE

1) a good Back pack. “Good” is a very relative term. I’m not talking about good in relation to design or famous brand maker, I’m talking about a back pack that can provide good support on your shoulders and hold the items as close as possible to your body.

2) Vitamin C – Vitamin C is an antioxidant. It is important for your skin, bones, and connective tissue. It promotes healing and helps the body absorb iron.Immune System Boost!

3) Zinc Recent research has shown zinc to have a strong impact on mental function because it can pair up with vitamin B6 to ensure the proper function of neurotransmitters that communicate within the body. [7] It is also found in high concentrations in the hippocampus, which controls thought and memory. For those who have suffered an injury, zinc keeps brain function strong, as it is naturally diverted to the other parts of the body for healing purposes.

4) Arnica 30c is safe and an amazing thing to have when you injure yourself. It’s great for bruises, muscle pain, swelling etc.

5) Water Bottle You and your kids should be drinking at least one half your body weight in oz of water each day. If you are active, you should drink more especially in the summer. A water bottle is not only a great way for you t provide good, filtered, non-chlorinated water for your kiddo, but it will also allow them to track the amount of water they are drinking. Sending water will allow them to avoid the milk that is available which so so important as milk is really not that good for you (the calcium is in a form that is hard if not impossible for your body to use, the amount of protein is very small and there is lots of sugar- not great if you want your kiddo to be able to concentrate about 2 hours after the are done eating.)

6) Lunch Box – Healthy lunches – We preach this all time we’re going to say it again, “Back off the grains and especially the gluten” – they are super high in sugar and there is a high probability your kiddo’s going to be sleepy in the afternoon. Their brains need healthy fats to function best. you can use lettuce for sandwich instead of bread or just pack meat and cheese, and there are lots of great veggie options like baby carrots celery broccoli, cauliflower. (Nuts are a great snack but not at school)

7) Adjustments – a well adjust spine for brain function and health – posture. When your spine and nervous are in good health you will experience less symptoms. Also promoting good posture also aids in healthy brain function – poor posture can significantly increase your stress levels, depression and fear. Slouching causes your spine to lose some of its natural curve, also known as “the arc of life.” You want to treat your arc of life well: poor posture and spinal health will lead to an overall decrease in brain and organ function. Both of which are just about as fun as they sound.

8) Sleep – more important that 13 extra curricular activities. This can be hard for those of you with teenagers, it’s true that the changes they go through does effect the melatonin production. How ever we have supplement that can help call GABA. For the younger ones it’s pretty simple, 8 hours minimum. *take away devices at night

Most people have a very easy time understanding how much stress an adult in our society can have. Whether it be from work, or paying bills or marinating the house or a relationship, stress is everywhere. But when we think of our children, it’s harder to understand that they can experience pretty severe stress. Some might say, “They have it easy! No work? No bills? All they have to do is go to school and be nice, right?

Wrong!

Let’s look at each of the 3 types of stress…

Physical:

There are so many ways physical stress applies to a kid’s life. Crashing a bike, wrestling with sibling, there is the physical stress that comes from sitting in front of a video game all day and not doing anything active. We don’t have to have a broken bone in order for there to be physical stress.

Chemical stress:

think about how much fast foods our kids today consume. Are they really getting the proper nutrients that their body requires to stay healthy. Or how about all the pesticides and herbicides those chemicals are all around us whether you use them or not. We haven’t even mentioned one of the biggest stresses – vaccines! There are so many awful chemicals that are injected with each and every vaccine and the number of vaccines that are “required” these days is crazy.

Emotional stress:

I know kids in 15 different actives; swimming, dance, music class, homework, and softball, select basketball, the list is endless! Also, when we were kids, we saw our friends at school and if they lived on our street we may have some time with them for a bit in the evening, but these days, so many kids are connected to their friends through the phones and video games that they hardly ever get a break and that can cause some huge issues.

We have more sick kids (and adults) then ever before and studies are proving that stress is a major factor! Very few kids have time to be kids, or to just sit and be with themselves.

A great way to release stress in the body is a technique called network Spinal Analysis.

How it works:

As your body is exposed to stress, tension builds up in the system. As the body holds on to this tension, it causes your body’s communication network to become overwhelmed, or derailed which stops the body from doing the every day healing it should be able to do and this showing up as symptoms such as lashing out, illness and pain . This interference and tension can be cleared, through a series of light contacts in specific ‘spinal gateways’ which allow the nerves to connect properly with the brain again.

After a bit of care, your body will learn to process the stresses you feel from life more efficiently instead of holding onto it.

Something else that is really important to reducing stress in your child’s body and life is be conscious of what you are eating and drinking. Excess sugar is a huge problem in our diets. Vaccines also potentially fall into this category because they contain some really bad ingredients…. From formaldehyde, human and animal cells-DNA, acetone, aluminum, thimerosal, Phenol, Phenoxyethanol – known carcinogen.

Normal is having 10 fingers and toes

Common is being able to pay attention in school for 30 minutes

When we start throwing words around like normal and common we loose individuality. so many people in this society are caught up in being like everyone else that we forget that medically, psychologically and every other way, we are all different. No 2 tigers have the same stripes, there aren’t even 2 snow flakes exactly the same shape. This rule applies to humans as well.

There isn’t a human alive that has all of the “normal” measurements including a 98.6 temperature, 120/80 bp resting heart rate of 100 beats / minute etc. These numbers are merely an average and something that is reported in text books as “normal”, but everyone is uniquely different. For some people a 120/80 blood pressure is perfect for others like major athletes, that blood pressure would signal hypertension and be a major problem, and for some people a 120/80 bp would be borderline low and could signal other problems.

Yes…

There are people in this world do well being judged by the normal values, but definitely not everyone and this is where the big problems come in. People are often misdiagnosed and then potentially wrongly medicated. We also get into an issue of labeling and putting children in Psychological boxes (based on theses diagnoses) hindering their potential. The medical system works off symptom treatment, if the symptom stops interfering with life it’s considered a success despite long term and immediate side effects.

So the question is how do you keep your kiddo from being just another face in the crowd who is held to the standards of “normal” especially when it comes to medications which have the potential to do so much harm?

You could start documenting your child’s vital statistics when they are feeling good. what is their blood pressure, temperature, heart rate on a normal day. One reading isn’t enough. You have to take the measurements over many days/weeks to find your normal. *As well documenting behaviors and emotions.

Check Out The Video https://youtu.be/uo-zQV1y56I

Create healthy study habits that leave room for your child to explore their personal interests.

Make expectations with the teachers and school and in your home that fit your child.

Exercise. We know it can be hard to physical activity in through the school year but it’s so important! Get creative, Yoga, jumping jacks, sit ups, none of these take up a lot of space and can easily be done just about any where.

Last & Most Important

See a chiropractor, get checked, get adjusted. Recognize that your Child’s’ body has an amazing healing power inside it self. The only way we get sick or fail to heal in a relatively short time is if your communication system is some way compromised; complicating the coordination of all healing that should take place daily. Chiropractors specialize in finding problems in the communication system and fixing them so that internal healing is allowed to work at its peak potential which minimizes the need for doctor visits, the need for diagnoses and medications and increasing quality of life

Acne is a skin disorder that, because of the appearance, can have a huge effect on the lives of teenagers. The medical people have their own ideas on what it is.

Here is the definition from Mayo Clinic:

“Acne is a skin condition that occurs when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. It often causes whiteheads, blackheads or pimples, and usually appears on the face, forehead, chest, upper back and shoulders. Acne is most common among teenagers, though it affects people of all ages”

This is the same things that were said when I was a kid so I invested in scrubs and other things to keep the oil from building up on my face and quite frankly there wasn’t any really help. Now days, they even have prescription drugs that you can buy and take. Some are antibiotics that are supposed to kill the bacteria that move into the follicles. Other medication reduce oil production, and still others target inflammation.

Let’s take these one by one.

Antibiotics

When you take an antibiotic that medication doesn’t just go to the face and act there, It goes throughout the body attacking all kinds of bacteria all over the body. That may sound good but we have literally trillions of microorganisms in our body, in fact you have more bacterial in your body than you do cells. The majority of these bacteria provide vital functions for your health. When you take an antibiotic, you start randomly destroying some of these bacteria which can throw off the delicate balance that is required for good health.

Reduce Oil Production

oil production in the body is important for keeping your skin young vibrant and healthy. Also you need oil for countless other functions in the body on a daily basis. When you take a pill which reduces this production, you still start having problems with your health that could have been avoided.

Anti-Inflammatory

are well known for having an affect on the cardiovascular system. They also can contribute huge to stomach and other gastrointestinal problems.

There is another viewpoint.

The research I have seen recently shows that acne is commonly associated with eating something you are allergic to. Eating something that is toxic to your body causes your body to start an inflammatory response. Gluten is one of the worst problems now because the outward symptoms aren’t as severe as to make you concerned. For instance if you are allergic to some foods, you will have a sore throat or redness or maybe an upset stomach.

I came across this information about 5 years ago. Since then, when patients come to me with this problem – I suggest they go on a gluten free diet. Of those who actually follow the diet, over 90% have cleared up their acne.

I strongly urge you to follow this diet if you or someone you love is dealing with this issue. Start out by just committing to it for 3 weeks. You should be able to notice a difference in that time not only in your skin, but also how you feel in general. If you notice some difference but not the degree you wanted, you may need to go to a fully grain free diet. After you go gluten free, it’s not as hard. You can have all the meat, fish and chicken you want, all the veggies (except corn which is a grain but some consider a vegetable) and also a little bit of fruit mostly berries to avoid high sugar content.

Let’s face it, as much as we hate to admit it, Holidays and stress go hand in hand. Whether it’s family that irritate us even though we love them, or the stress we put on ourselves to get just the right present or attend all the parties or to find just the perfect recipe for a family get together, stress is almost always in abundance and when you combine the increased stress of the holidays with the already stressed life you have, it will often lead to problems sleeping.

Sure you can ignore the problem, and just wait till the holidays are over to get a good night’s rest, but that just creates more stress in your life. It is really important to get to the cause of the stress so that you can get a good night’s sleep all through the year without these periods of sleepless nights.

There are many types of sleep problems

The most common is when you lay down but you can’t seem to get your brain to quite down so you can fall asleep. This is very typical of the over stressed brain, especially when the stress is due to mental / emotional stress. This is a problem that we work wonders with here at the office but let me take a bit of your time and explain what’s going on and give you a few tips that you can try to resolve the problem at home.

Encountering Events

Your brain must process and react, chemically, to every event that happens in your life. If the event is overwhelming it could trigger a response called flight or fight. Basically in that mode your brain switches to defense mode. This was the survival technique that was needed back in the cave man days because when you were stressed an animal was about to attack or another tribe was trying to steal things. Your brain had to start to process every last detail it could to determine what needed to happen to allow you to survive the threat. Just because 21st Century stress of family and job etc are not life threatening doesn’t mean that the brain has learned to process things any differently.

In this mode your brain can become completely overloaded and that is why when you try to go to sleep, you brain won’t seem to shut down. It is in survival mode and trying to detect any threat. In this office, we are able to reduce the tension in the spinal cord which will take the brain out of survival mode and allow the brain to relax when you go to sleep. But if things aren’t too bad, here are a few tips that may help you solve this.

1) Aerobic exercise

This type of exercise can really help your body reduce the amount of stress and possibly keep you from crossing that threshold into fight or flight. 20 minutes of activity with your heart rate increased by at least 20% so figure about 25 minutes of exercise is really healthy for everyone even if this isn’t your problem.

2) Meditation

This form of relaxation is very powerful in allowing your brain to organize things. There are plenty of sources to help with this. YouTube is a good place to start also Depak Chopra and Opra have a series of 21 day meditation challenges that are amazing.

According to a new study, people who consumed an average of one egg per day had a lower risk of problems like heart attack and stroke, compared to those who didn't eat eggs at all. Regular egg eaters had an 18 percent lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease.

Some experts are cautioning that you shouldn't start adding multiple eggs a day to your diet just yet because the study didn't explore how eating more than one egg a day can affect a person's risk for cardiovascular disease.

Those "Experts"

have not had a chance to review the archives of this newsletter. You see, the warnings are based on the old philosophy that made doctors wary of them due to their high cholesterol content.

As you my faithful readers have learned, recent studies have proved that the cholesterol in a food does not directly contribute the the cholesterol in a person's body. That is why dietary experts are recommending eggs more and more, thanks to their high protein and other key nutrients.

Eggs really are an amazing food full of nutrition in fact they contain almost everything that the us government recommends in a daily diet except for Vitamin C.

*Hard boiled eggs are a great shack for kids and adults alike. Boil 6 or 12 at the beginning of the week and keep them in the fridge. they are a quick grab and go snack - much better than a candy bar!!!
